Job Details
We are currently looking for an experienced and compassionate Sessional GP to join our team and provide essential medical care to residents from our assigned care homes. The role involves conducting weekly ward rounds and overseeing the healthcare needs of our care home patients in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Working Hours: 2-3 sessions per week (number of sessions and working days can be agreed mutually)
Negotiable salary
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly ward rounds to assess the medical needs of care home residents
Manage chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and medications of care home patients
Complete Respect forms and initiate anticipatory medications as needed
Complete MCCD and refer to Medical Examiner at the event of expected death
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to develop and review care plans
Offer advice and support to families and caregivers regarding patient care
